Health Disparities and Equity Service Program  


The Pre-Professional Advising Office will be offering a Health Disparities and Equity Service Program this Spring 2022. The overall goal of this program is to increase awareness and develop best practices when working with vulnerable populations in the context of healthcare. Students from all majors and professional goals are welcome to participate. The program includes a speaker series on various topics concerning health disparities, a structured reflective dialogue session, required volunteering and a paper reflecting on the experience.

Completion of this program will result in a certificate of participation and will count towards experiential learning. Please note that you need to double check with your college that they have approved this activity for Experiential Learning Credit on If you do not see this listed, speak with your academic advisor to confirm whether or not this program will count for EL.

PPAO Hospice Panel


Are you a Pre-Health student interested in hospice volunteering? Learn about a meaningful opportunity and how to make a difference in the lives of hospice patients. Join us from 5:00 - 6:30 PM on Monday, January 31st via Zoom for a panel with local hospice providers. The providers will discuss what hospice is and how you can volunteer. Come with your questions, as there will be a brief Q&A at the end.
