Are you interested in joining the UGA Chapter of Alpha Epsilon Delta (AED)?
AED is the National Honor Society for Pre-Health undergraduates.
To become a member of AED, you must meet each of these requirements:
- 3.40 overall science GPA (includes hard science & math transfer classes)
- 3.40 “UGA” science GPA (only UGA hard science & math)
- 3.40 overall GPA (includes transfer classes)
- 3.40 “UGA only” GPA
- Must have completed at least 2 semesters in UGA residence (enrolled in and completing UGA classes at UGA), excluding AP credit.
- Must have earned at least 36 hours toward graduation.
- Must have completed at least one science class at UGA. (In Progress courses do not qualify).
Please make the calculations yourself before replying to determine if you qualify.
If you believe you qualify and would like to join AED, please email [email protected] with “AED Invitation” as your subject line and the following information:
- Your FULL LEGAL NAME
- Your 810 #
- Your UGA email address
The deadline for you to submit is Friday, February 21, 2025, at 5 PM. You will receive a reply within a few weeks if you do or do not qualify.
Once approved for membership, you will receive the forms and instructions for becoming membership. Membership dues total $125 ($75 national + $50 local). This cost is a one-time fee for a lifetime membership in the organization.
