Interested in meeting and getting advice from current medical students? Medical students from the AU/UGA Medical Partnership Campus will be holding virtual drop-ins Wednesday, November 6th from 7:00pm-8:30pm. All questions are welcome including how to build a resume, how to pursue shadowing, how to study for the MCAT, what medical school is like, etc. (Ask the M1s about what it was like to do an MMI style interview!!)

On Saturday, November 9th, the Pre-Professional Advising Office is offering an opportunity for prelaw students to get acquainted with the LSAT. This event is ideal for those who plan to apply in the 2025-2026 application cycle. This event will take place in MLC 253. The MLC opens at 10:00 am, so we will begin shortly after 10:00 am. Pizza and drinks will be provided.
10:00 am - 12:45 pm - LSAT Diagnostic
Take a 4-section LSAT diagnostic test. You will need a personal laptop and LawHub account to complete the diagnostic. Please, make your account prior to arriving.
1:00 pm - 2:00 pm - LSAT 101
Learn more about the LSAT from an expert tutor. This session will provide an overview of the test.
There is a maximum capacity for this event. Please, only sign up if you are serious about participating. Priority will be given to those that plan to attend the entire event. Space permitting, you may attend just one session.

Get tips and tricks from pre-dental students who scored on the Dental Admissions Test! A panel of pre-dental students whose impressive DAT scores have gotten interview invitations will answer your questions on how they prepared, Monday, November 11th from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. in MLC Room 350.
Representatives from FOOTHILLS AHEC and SOWEGA AHEC will be offering a presentation for students about their summer program, Pathway to Medical School, on Monday, November 11th from 5:30pm – 7:30pm for Park Hall, Room 0265. University of South Carolina will give an introduction to the GC profession and Graduate School. Genetic counselors receive training in a variety of areas including medical genetics and psychosocial counseling. As a genetic counselor you can see a wide range of patients including, prenatal, pediatric, and cancer. Education is also a large part of a genetic counselor's job to help patients understand their risk and test results. The PPAO will conduct the mock MMIs, and the Career Center will conduct the mock interviews.
