The University of Georgia’s Ivester School of Nursing was founded in 2025. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing at UGA has been granted Developmental Approval by the Georgia Board of Nursing and will be submitted for approval by the University System of Georgia with an anticipated launch date of Fall 2027. If approved, UGA students interested in applying to the program should plan to complete specific prerequisite coursework as part of their 60 hours of General Education Core Curriculum coursework.

Because the program will be new and admissions requirements are evolving, prerequisite expectations are expected to vary slightly depending on the anticipated application year. Students should review the appropriate prerequisite list below and work closely with their academic advisor when planning coursework. The Ivester School of Nursing will not require the TEAS exam.
