The Office of Global Engagement and the Pre-Professional Advising Office are proud to offer our pre-health students an opportunity to study abroad in South Africa! The Health in South Africa Winter Break Program is intended for UGA students who plan to pursue careers in healthcare and who are working actively toward this goal. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the South African healthcare system through shadowing, guest lectures, round table discussions, tours of healthcare facilities, and other related activities. In addition to these experiences, participants will enroll in BIOL 4910 (Advanced Topics in Biology) for 3-credit hours. This program runs from December 11th – December 23rd.
