Brooklyn DiGirolamo, UGA alum and current student at UAB School of Optometry will be taking over our Instagram (Instagram: instagram.com/ugaprehealth) all day Friday, April 18th. She will be replying to all your questions/comments throughout the day about her experience as an Optometry student.
“Hi everyone! My name is Brooklyn DiGirolamo and I’m from Woodstock, GA. I graduated from UGA in May of 2023 with a Biological Sciences degree and currently attend UAB School of Optometry as a 2nd year. While at UGA, I was involved with the Pre-Optometry Club and Relay for Life. From late-night study sessions at the science library to game day on Saturday cheering on the dawgs, my time at UGA was a dream and the friends I made there are unforgettable.
Here in Birmingham, I am finishing up one of the hardest semesters of my four-year program. There are many ways to get involved at UABSO; I am a student Ambassador for my class and participate in clubs such as the Private Practice Club and FCO. I am excited to share a day as an optometry student and answer any questions you might have!”
