Health in South Africa Winter Break Program 2026
The Office of Global Engagement and the Pre-Professional Advising Office are proud to offer our pre-health students an opportunity to study abroad in South Africa! The Health in South Africa Winter Break Program is intended for UGA students who plan to pursue careers in healthcare and who are working actively toward this goal. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the South African healthcare system through shadowing, guest lectures, round table discussions, tours of healthcare facilities, and other related activities. In addition to these experiences, participants will enroll in BIOL 4910 (Advanced Topics in Biology) for 3-credit hours.

Mock Interviews & MMIs
The Pre-Professional Advising Office (PPAO) and the Career Center will continue to offer Mock Interviews and Mock MMIs for students who have been invited to interview at a health professional school. The PPAO will conduct the mock MMIs, and the Career Center will conduct the mock interviews.
