CASPA is the centralized application service used to apply to most accredited Physician Associate programs. Once the application cycle closes, you will NOT be able to create or access your CASPA account for that cycle. Importantly, each PA program has different deadline requirements and prerequisites for entry.
Some programs (e.g., Augusta University) do not use the CASPA application. Therefore, you will need to apply using the application that is provided by that specific institution.
What is the overall application time-line for applying to PA school?
The CASPA application usually opens the last week of April every year and closes in early April the following year. However, unlike most medical schools, some PA programs begin during the Spring, while others begin in the Fall. Therefore, it is important that you keep abreast of the specific deadlines and matriculation dates at the programs you wish to apply to.
Detailed below are the general application periods and matriculation dates for PA schools in Georgia:
|Augusta University||July - October|
|Emory University||April - October|
|Mercer University||November - March|
|South College||April - March|
|South University||April - August|
|PCOM||April - December|
|Morehouse||April - October|
|Brenau University||April - August|
Please be aware that many schools require that the GRE or PA-CAT be taken and the pre-requisites met before an application is submitted. It also important that you submit your application as early as possible, as most programs admit students on a rolling basis.
