The application process typically begins 15 to 16 months before matriculation into a vet program. The Veterinary Medical College Application Service (VMCAS) is a centralized application service for Colleges of Veterinary Medicine that you use to submit your application. VMCAS opens in early January each year.

VMCAS 2024 - Fee Reimbursement Program
The VMCAS 2023 Fee Reimbursement Program is sponsored by the Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC). A limited number of fee reimbursements are available through this program. Reimbursements are granted to financially disadvantaged applicants on a first-come, first-serve basis.
International Students Applying to U.S. Veterinary Schools
Each veterinary school has different policies on admission requirements and may require international students to demonstrate English language proficiency by taking the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
